A WordPress website and a custom converter plugin that turns kilograms into pieces and price.
The challenge
Arwa Enterprises supplies bolts, nuts and washers to industries such as construction, automotive, agriculture and aerospace. Fasteners are often priced by the kilogram but ordered by the piece, so buyers constantly need to convert between the two before they can compare quotes or place an order.
Arwa wanted a website that presents its range and makes that conversion easy for buyers.
What we did
We designed and built the website on WordPress with Elementor, and developed a custom WordPress plugin for the conversion.
The Hex Bolt & Nut Weight & Price Converter
- Buyers choose inches or metric, then the product, diameter and length.
- They enter either a weight in kilograms or a number of pieces, and the converter calculates the other as they type.
- It also shows how many pieces make up 50 kg.
- Enter a rate per kilogram and it gives the rate per piece.
The product data (sizes and weights) is imported into the plugin rather than typed in by hand, and Arwa’s team can re-import updated data themselves, without a developer.
The converter has its own page and a link in the header on every page, so buyers can reach it from anywhere.

- A short quote request form on the homepage and a Get Quote button in the header
